December 2024
  • December 2024 - We're excited to introduce a new on-send prompt to help avoid misdirected emails. Prevent now compares the recipient's email address and the salutation of the email. If a mismatch is detected, the user will be prompted to warn them that they may be sending an email to the wrong person.
  • The key details for this release are as follows:
    • This functionality is active for one-to-one emails sent to external recipients.
    • The salutation of an email is considered to be the first 50 characters of the email body.
    • These events will be displayed in the Prevent Analytics console under the Misdirected Email category.
    • This feature is enabled by default for all users.
    • No additional configuration is required.
October 2024
  • October 2024 - We're excited to announce an update to the Prevent dashboard, introducing a new data exfiltration widget. This enhancement is part of our ongoing commitment to improving product functionality and providing valuable insights to our users.
  • The key details for this release are as follows:
    • New data exfiltration widget on the Prevent dashboard displaying top-level statistics for potential data exfiltration events:
      • Total number of potential data exfiltration events
      • Events containing attachments
      • Events with detected data matches
    • Click through functionality to view relevant events in the event finder

    • This update will be automatically applied to your Prevent platform, requiring no action from administrators.
June 2024
  • June 2024 - As part of our continuous product improvement plan, Prevent Analytics has been refreshed with improved functionality and new features. The following changes will be automatically applied to your Prevent platform, and no further action from administrators is required:
    • The Search Emails page has been refreshed, and additional filters have been added
    • Wildcards can be used to aid your search
    • Your search results will now be displayed in a more context-rich table
    • When selecting an event from the search results, the event page will now include:
      • High-level information regarding prompts displayed to end-users
      • A log of recipients, including the recipients who Prevent flagged, the recipients changed by the end-user, and the final recipients of the sent email
      • Details of data in the email that matched Prevent policies
