Working with Series
Some content in the ModStore is grouped into a series, like The Inside Man. To view the modules in a series, click the series card.
This will open a description panel.
Series follow a narrative arc across multiple episodes and are meant to be watched in order. Each episode builds on the last, using a consistent cast and story to teach security concepts.
A series may span multiple seasons, which you can navigate using the season drop-down menu on the series details panel. Examples include The Inside Man and Restricted Intelligence.
From the details panel, you can preview the episodes, add them to your library, or add them directly to a campaign.
Presentation Types
We also offer the following presentation types for our training content:

Knowledge Checks and Quizzes
Many of our modules and games use knowledge checks and quizzes that help reinforce important security concepts. Because these elements reinforce learning, we consider them part of the total training time.
- Knowledge checks appear anywhere within a module to help solidify key concepts. These checks provide explanations so that users can learn from both correct and incorrect answers.
-
Quizzes usually appear at the end of a module to test how much information a user has retained.
- Passing Scores: Most quizzes have a default passing score of 80 percent.
- Adjusting Scores: You can use the Content Manager to change the passing score for some content.
- Retakes: If users do not pass, they can review the questions and retake the quiz.
Test-Out Option
Some content offers a test-out option that you can configure in the Content Manager. If you enable the test-out toggle, users can take the quiz before they start the training. Users who achieve a passing score can skip that specific training module.
For more information, see the Working with Content Manager section.

For more information on creating a training campaign, see the Training Campaigns Guide.
Retired and Archived Content
To ensure all of the content in the ModStore meets our quality standards, we periodically retire out-of-date content. For content published by KnowBe4, you can typically find an updated version of the content in the ModStore before the older version is retired. Content with the Retiring Soon tag will be removed from the ModStore.
The Retiring Soon tag is also used throughout the console to indicate active content that will soon be removed from the ModStore. You may see this tag in the following locations:
- On the Campaigns subtab under the Training tab. If a training campaign includes content that is retiring soon, the Retiring Soon tag will display in the Content column.
- On the Create New Training Campaign page, when you select assignments from the Content drop-down menu.
For third-party content, we recommend searching the ModStore for newer content that covers the same topics. Please take a look at our Retired Third-Party Content article for more information.
The Retired status indicates the content is no longer available in the ModStore but can still be used in new training campaigns. Retired content will eventually become archived. The Archived status indicates the content is no longer available in the ModStore, cannot be downloaded, and cannot be used in new training campaigns. If an active training campaign includes archived content published by KnowBe4, the campaign will not be affected.
If you added content to your library before it was retired or archived, that content will be listed as hidden. Retired content can be viewed and downloaded. Archived content that was published by KnowBe4 can also be viewed. All archived content, regardless of publisher, will be unavailable for download.
