Using the Phishing Templates (Beta) Tab
On the Phishing Templates (Beta) tab of your KMSAT console, you can use advanced filtering and searching features to find system templates that meet your organization's needs, such as templates that are localized in your users’ languages. You can also clone system templates to use in your phishing campaigns, exclude system templates from your phishing campaigns, and manage templates that you've cloned or created.

System Templates
On the System Templates subtab of the Phishing Templates (Beta) tab, you can search through system templates by using filters, exclude templates from your phishing campaigns, and clone templates to use in your phishing campaigns.

Searching for System Templates
On the System Templates subtab, you can use filters to search for phishing templates that you would like to use.
For more information, see the screenshot and list below:
- Topics: You can use this filter to find templates that cover specific topics. For example, you could select Social Media to find templates related to social media. To view this filter, you'll need to click the + Additional Filters menu.
- Languages: You can use this filter to find templates that are localized in the selected languages.
- Difficulty: Use this filter to find templates that have the selected difficulty ratings. For more information, see our What Are Template Difficulty Ratings and How Can I Use Them? article.
- Search: You can use this filter to find templates that have a specific keyword in the title.
- Attack Vectors: You can use this filter to find templates that include specific attack vectors, such as data entry templates. To view this filter, you'll need to click the + Additional Filters menu.
- Template Features: You can use this filter to find templates that have specific features. For example, such as fake attachments. To view this filter, you'll need to click the + Additional Filters menu.
- Placeholders: You can use this filter to find templates that contain specific placeholders, such as the Company Name placeholder. To view this filter, you'll need to click the + Additional Filters menu.
Viewing Your Search Results
As you select filters on the System Templates subtab, the templates that meet your criteria will display in the results table. In this table, you can view information about the template, including the template's name, topic, language, difficulty rating, and origin. You can also clone templates, preview templates, and clear your filters.

- Clear Filters: You can click this button to remove all of your selected filters and reset the template list.
- Clone: You can click this icon to clone the template. For more information, see the Cloning Templates for Use subsection below.
- Preview: You can click this icon to preview the template.
Cloning Templates for Use
On the System Templates subtab, you can clone a template to use it in your phishing campaigns. When you clone a template, it will automatically be saved to the My Templates subtab.
To clone a template for use, follow the steps below:
- Log in to your KMSAT console.
- Navigate to Phishing > Phishing Templates (Beta).
- In the Actions column, click the clone icon (
) next to the template. When you click this icon, a Select Language Versions to Clone pop-up window will open.
- Select the check box next to each language version that you would like to clone.
- Once you've selected all of the desired languages, click the Clone button at the bottom of the pop-up window.
- Navigate to the My Templates subtab. Note: If you didn’t opt in to the advanced beta features, you can find these templates in the Email Templates subtab under My Templates instead.
- From the Topics drop-down menu, select the Drafts category. Each language version of the cloned template will be listed under this category.
- (Optional) If you would like, you can edit the template to meet your organization's needs. For more information, see the Creating and Editing Email Templates section of our Customizing Emails and Landing Pages article.
- To use these templates in a phishing campaign, move them from the Drafts category to another category on the My Templates page. For more information, see the Moving a Template from the Drafts Category section of our Customizing Emails and Landing Pages article.
Excluding Templates from Campaigns
On the System Templates subtab, you can exclude templates from being used in phishing campaigns. For example, if you would like to create a phishing campaign that uses automated template selection to select templates from the Social Networking topic, you could use this feature to exclude a template that is in that topic.
To get started, click the Exclude Templates button, which will take you to the Template Exclusions page. On this page, you can use the filters to exclude templates that meet your selected criteria.

- Topics: You can use this filter to exclude templates that cover specific topics.
- Attack Vectors: You can use this filter to exclude templates that include specific attack vectors.
- Template Features: You can use this filter to exclude templates that have specific features.
- Placeholders: You can use this filter to exclude templates that contain specific placeholders.
To apply your filters, click the Save Changes button.
Your Templates
When you select the My Templates subtab of the Phishing Templates (Beta) page, you'll be taken to the My Templates page. On this page, you can search through your templates by using filters and manage your template topics.

Searching for Your Templates
On the My Templates subtab, you can use filters to search for your templates.

- Categories: You can use this filter to find templates in specific categories. For a full list of categories, see our Phishing Template Category Glossary.
- Languages: You can use this filter to find templates that are localized in the selected languages.
- Difficulty: Use this filter to find templates that have the selected difficulty ratings. For more information, see our What Are Template Difficulty Ratings and How Can I Use Them? article.
- Search: You can use this filter to find templates that have a specific keyword in the title.
Viewing Your Search Results
As you select filters on the My Templates subtab, the templates that meet your criteria will display in the results table. In this table, you can view information such as the template's name, category, difficulty rating, and when it was last updated. You can also clone templates, preview templates, and clear your filters.

- Import: You can click this button to open an Import Templates pop-up window where you can import custom templates.
- Clear Filters: You can click this button to remove all of your selected filters and reset the template list.
- Preview: You can click this icon to preview the template.
Managing Your Template Topics
On the My Templates subtab, you can add, edit, and remove template topics. By adding a topic to your templates, you can easily find and select the types of templates you want to add to your phishing campaigns.
Before you add a template to a topic, you'll need to add a topic. To add a topic, click the Manage Topics button at the top-right corner of the My Templates subtab. Then, click the Add button and enter a name for the topic. Once you add topics, you can edit or remove them by clicking the pencil or trash can icons.
Then, you can add or remove templates from your topics as needed. To add or remove templates from topics, follow the steps below:
- Log in to your KMSAT console.
- Navigate to Phishing > Phishing Templates (Beta) > My Templates.
- Select the check box next to the template.
- From the Select Topic drop-down menu, select the topic that you would like to add the template to or remove the template from.
- Click the Add or Remove button, depending on whether you would like to add the template to or remove the template from the topic.
Creating Phishing Campaigns with Template Topics
When you create phishing campaigns, you'll have access to an updated New Phishing Campaign page, which includes a Template Topics drop-down menu. This drop-down allows you to select topics for your phishing templates instead of selecting Template Categories.
This page also includes an Available Templates section, which you can expand to view the list of templates that will be sent to your users. From this list, you can view the languages that the templates are available in. You can also preview templates.
