All admins in your KnowBe4 Platform have access to their own personal settings. In the Personal Settings menu, you can edit your personal details, adjust your notifications and alerts preferences, change the appearance of your account, and update your password and security preferences.
Personal Details
The Personal Details tab is divided into two cards: General and Time and Location. Click Edit on each card to update its information.
General
On this card, you can enter your first and last name, email address, and mobile and work phone numbers.
Time and Location
On this card, you can enter information related to your time zone, date and time format, and languages. For more information, see the bullet list below:
- Time Zone: Select your preferred time zone. Your selection will change how timestamps appear to you in your account.
- Date and Time Format: Select how dates and times are shown in your account.
- Admin Language: Select the language that displays in your account.
- Training Language: Select your preferred language for the training content assigned to you.
Notifications and Alerts
On the Notifications and Alerts tab, you can manage the notifications and alerts you receive from KnowBe4.

Appearance
On the Appearance tab, you can set your display theme for your account.
Select one of the following options:
- System Default: Your account theme matches your device's system settings.
- Light Mode: Your account always displays in light mode.
- Dark Mode: Your account always displays in dark mode.
Password and Security
The Password and Security tab is divided into three cards: Sign-in Methods, Password Settings, and Active Sessions.
Sign-in Methods
On this card, you can change your password and manage your passkeys.
To delete a passkey, click the trash can icon next to the passkey you want to delete.
Click Add Passkey to add a new passkey. Your browser will open a prompt asking you to verify with Face ID, Touch ID, or a security key.
Password Settings
On this card, you can add, edit, or delete your multi-factor authentication (MFA) methods.
Click Add MFA Method to add an authentication app, such as Google Authenticator, or a security key, such as a YubiKey.
- If you select Authentication App, you'll be prompted to scan a QR code and enter a verification code you receive through your app.
- If you select Security Key, you'll be prompted to insert your key into your device and touch the gold disc or button when it flashes. Then, your browser will prompt you to allow access.
Active Sessions
On this card, you can manage your login sessions. This section lists every session currently logged in to your account, including the browser, operating system, location, and the date and time the session started. Your current session is labeled Current.
To end a session, click Log Out next to that session. Click Log Out of All Sessions to log yourself out of all active sessions in the KnowBe4 Platform.
