In this article, you'll learn how to integrate Anthropic Claude with Agent Risk Manager. After the integration is complete, your organization's Claude activity will be available for monitoring using Agent Risk Manager. For general information about Agent Risk Manager, see our quickstart guide.
Prerequisites
Before you begin the integration process, make sure you have the following:
-
Access to the Agent Risk Manager admin console.
Note:For information about our Agent Risk Manager early access program, see our FAQ article. - An Anthropic subscription for your organization and access to create API keys.
-
Access to a Primary Owner role for your Anthropic organization.
Important:Only your organization's Primary Owner can create a compliance access key in Claude. If you are not the Primary Owner, ask them to create the compliance access key for you.
Create an API Key in Claude
Before you can set up this integration in Agent Risk Manager, you'll need to create a compliance access API key in your Anthropic organization by following the steps below:
- Log in to the Claude console as the Primary Owner of your organization.
- On the bottom-left of the page, select your profile name, then select Organization settings.
- In the left sidebar, select API. A Keys page will display.
- On the top-right of the page, select + Create key. A Create API key pop-up window will display.
-
Grant the read:compliance_org_data and read:compliance_user_data scopes to the API key.
Note:Both scopes are required for the integration to function. The read:compliance_org_data allows the integration to automatically discover organization IDs. The read:compliance_user_data scope allows the integration to read user chats, messages, and files. -
Select Create. A Save your access key pop-up window will display.
Important:Don't close this window until you have saved the access key value. You won't be able to access it again. - Copy the access key value and store it in a secure location that you can access later. You'll need this compliance access key to set up the integration in Agent Risk Manager.
Set Up the Integration in Agent Risk Manager
After you have created your compliance access key, you can set up the integration in Agent Risk Manager by following the steps below:
- Log in to your KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training (SAT) console.
- In the top-left corner of the page, select the grid icon, then select Agent Risk Manager from the drop-down menu. The Agent Risk Manager console will display.
- In the left sidebar, navigate to Setup > Integrations.
- In the Add a New Integration section, select the Anthropic Claude Compliance vendor tile. A New Anthropic Integration page will display.
- In the API Key field, enter the compliance access key that you saved earlier.
- Leave the Organization IDs field blank to let Agent Risk Manager automatically discover your organization IDs from the compliance access key. Or, to narrow data collection down to only certain organizations, enter a comma-separated list of the Anthropic organization IDs you want Agent Risk Manager to collect from.
- Select Save & Connect.
Troubleshoot the Connection Test
After you set up the integration, Agent Risk Manager tests the connection before saving it. If the test fails, Agent Risk Manager will display the error on the setup page. The most common errors and their causes are below:
- Missing required scopes: Your compliance access key doesn't have the required scopes. Create a new key and ensure both scopes are granted.
- One or more organization IDs are no longer accessible: One or more of the IDs you entered cannot be reached with this key. Remove the inaccessible IDs, or leave the Organization IDs field blank so Agent Risk Manager can automatically discover them.
- Claude compliance integration already exists for this account: There is already an existing Claude Compliance integration for your Agent Risk Manager account.
After the integration successfully saves, it will appear on the Setup > Integrations page with one of the following statuses: Healthy, Error, Paused, Pending, or Setting Up. For more information on these statuses, see our quickstart guide.
Review Your Claude Activity
After the integration reaches a Healthy status, Agent Risk Manager will start receiving your organization's Claude activity. To review that data, use the pages below:
