Compliance Plus

Grant Compliance Plus Access

Compliance Plus is a ModStore add-on option for current KnowBe4 customers with a KSAT subscription. Compliance Plus content gives your users the tools they need to help mitigate compliance risks.

Important: KnowBe4 requires that the number of seats purchased for Compliance Plus is the same number of seats purchased for KSAT. This includes purchasing additional seats throughout the subscription terms. Additional minimum subscription purchasing requirements may apply.

To be sure you are using the best content for your organization, work closely with your HR department and other compliance experts in your organization. We recommend setting up a security role that allows your compliance experts to search for Compliance Plus content as well as create and monitor compliance training campaigns. Once your compliance experts have access to the KnowBe4 console, they can use the article How Do I Use Compliance Plus Content? as a guide.

Creating User Groups for Compliance Training

For best results, we recommend creating two user groups:

  1. One group that only includes your compliance experts.
    • This group will be used when assigning the security role.
  2. One group that only includes the users who should be enrolled in the compliance campaign. Be sure to name it something easy for your compliance expert to find, such as “Compliance Trainees”.
    • If all of your users must complete the compliance training, you do not need to create this group.

For more detailed instructions, see our How Do I Create a New Group? article.

Creating a Security Role for Compliance Experts

Creating a security role will allow your compliance experts to search the ModStore for content, create a training campaign, and monitor users’ progress of the campaign. For more information on security roles, see our How to Use Security Roles article.

Follow the steps below to create a security role:

  1. Log in to your KnowBe4 console and navigate to the Users tab.
  2. Click on the Security Roles subtab.
  3. In the top-right corner of the page, click the +New Security Role button.
  4. Enter a descriptive name for the security role, such as “Compliance Experts”
  5. From the Groups drop-down menu, select the compliance expert group that you created in the section above.
  6. Click on Training and edit the training permissions of this security role.
    • For Training Campaigns, select Full Read/Write.
      • If you created a specific group for the users who need to complete this training, select that group from the Targeted Groups drop-down menu.
      • If compliance training is for all of your users, keep the targeted groups set to All Users.
    • Keep the rest of the training permissions set to No Access.
  7. Click on the ModStore tab to edit the ModStore permissions for this security role.
    • For ModStore, select Read/Write.
    • For Library, select Read.
    • Keep the rest of the ModStore permissions set to No Access.
  8. When you are satisfied with your settings, click the Create Security Role button.

Now that your compliance experts have access to the necessary parts of the console, can use the article Finding and Using Compliance Plus Content as a guide.
