After you create tasks for your controls, you can monitor your tasks from the View Control page of your KCM GRC platform. To navigate to the View Control page, select the Controls tab from your navigation panel, and then select a control.
If you're looking for information about creating tasks, see our How to Work with Tasks for Controls article.
See the subsections below to learn about how you can monitor your tasks from the subtabs of the View Control page.
Recurring Tasks Subtab
From the Recurring Tasks subtab of the View Control page, you can view the recurring tasks that you've created.
To learn about the columns on this subtab, see the screenshot and list below:
- Schedule Name: View the name of the recurring task.
- Frequency: View a description of how often tasks are created for the recurring task.
- Current Due Date: View the due date of the current task. To open the task, click the date. If previous tasks have not been closed for this recurring task, this column will display the due date of the oldest task. If this field is blank and the task is a recurring task that uses Effective Date Range (EDR), the first task is not active in your account yet. For more information, see the When Do EDR Tasks Become Active? section of our How to Work with Tasks for Controls article.
- Last Satisfied Date: View the date that the User Assigned most recently marked a task in the task as complete. To open the task, click the date. If this field is blank, the first task for the recurring task has not been completed.
- Last Approval Date: View the date that an approving manager most recently approved and closed the task. To open the task, click the date. This column will display N/A if an approving manager is not assigned to the task. For more information, see our How to Monitor and Approve Tasks article.
- EDR: If this column displays a check mark, the task uses Effective Date Range (EDR). For more information, see the Working with Tasks That Use EDR section of our How to Work with Tasks for Controls article.
- Actions: If you would like to cancel the task, click the cancel icon in this column.

- Active: The task is currently active in your account, and the task is not past due. For more information, see the Working with One-Time Tasks section of our How to Work with Tasks for Controls article.
-
Satisfied: The User Assigned has marked the task as complete. If the task does not require approval or has completed the approval process, this status indicates that the task is closed.
Note: Tasks that are currently waiting for approval from an approving manager may display a Satisfied status. You can see if a task is waiting for approval by viewing the Task Status section of the View Task page. For more information, see the Understanding Task Requirements section in our How to Monitor and Approve Tasks article.
-
Past Due: The task is between one and seven days past its due date.
Note: By default, tasks will be in the Past Due status for seven days before the task's status changes to Failed. You can update the Task Fail Interval setting in your KCM GRC Account Settings to change the length of the Task Fail Interval. To learn how to update this setting, see the Task Fail Interval description in our How to Manage Your KCM GRC Account Settings article.
-
Closed Late: The User Assigned marked the task as complete at least one day past the task's due date. This status can also mean that the task was closed one or more days past the task's due date because it was not approved until after the due date.
Note: Tasks that are currently waiting for approval from an approving manager may display a Closed Late status. To see if a task is waiting for approval, open the task and check the Task Status area. To learn more, see the Understanding Task Requirements section in our How to Monitor and Approve Tasks article.
- Failed: The task has not been completed or closed, and the Task Fail Interval has passed. If the User Assigned marks the task as complete, the task's status will change to Closed Late.
