When you log in to the KnowBe4 Platform, you’ll see your Security Risk Overview on your dashboard. This overview provides a single view of your organization's Risk Score, broken down by security type, so you can see where your risk is coming from and what actions you can take to lower your Risk Score.
For more information about how Risk Score is calculated and what factors contribute to it, see our FAQ: SmartRisk™ Engine and Risk Score Guide.
Organization Risk Score
The Organization Risk Score section shows your organization's overall risk level, including:
- A risk level label, such as High, Medium, or Low, that describes your current standing.
- Your numeric Risk Score out of 100. A higher score indicates a higher risk.
- A What do the Risk Score labels mean? link, which explains how each risk level label maps to a Risk Score range.
The trend chart plots your organization's Risk Score over the selected date range so you can see whether your risk is increasing, decreasing, or staying the same. When you hover over a data point on the trend chart, you’ll see a brief explanation for why your Risk Score changed.
Security Type Cards
Below the Organization Risk Score section, you’ll see cards for each security type that have the following information:
- The security type name.
- A risk level label badge that indicates how urgently the security type needs attention.
- A progress bar that gives you a quick visual read on the security type's risk level relative to the other security types.
When you select a security type card, the card expands to show that security type's score out of 100, a summary of what's driving the score, and the three sections described below: the history chart, the risk factors table, and the recommendations panel.
For more information about each security type and the specific risk factors that feed into it, see the General Information section of our FAQ: SmartRisk™ Engine and Risk Score Guide.
Security Type History Chart
The security type history chart plots the selected security type's Risk Score over the selected date range on a 0–100 scale. Use this chart to see whether a specific security type is trending up, trending down, or remaining the same.
Risk Factors Table
The risk factors table lists the individual risk factors contributing to the selected security type's Risk Score. The table includes the following columns:
- Factor: The specific risky or secure behavior tracked for this security type, such as Phishing Link Clicked or PAB Reporting.
- Source: The KnowBe4 product or integration that the factor's data comes from, such as Real-Time Coaching or KSAT.
- Score: The factor's current contribution to your Risk Score, out of 100.
- Status: A status badge that tells you how urgently to review the factor. For more information about these statuses, click the What do the Risk Score labels mean? link in the Organization Risk Score section.
Recommendations Panel
The recommendations panel lists suggested AI-generated actions you can take to lower your risk for the security type. Each recommendation includes a short title that names the suggested action, such as Remind new users to complete their training, and a description that explains why the recommendation applies to your organization and what taking that action will do for your Risk Score.
Select Give Feedback at the top of the panel to tell KnowBe4 whether a recommendation was helpful.
