Large File Transfer (LFT) can be used when you want to share large files with recipients in an efficient and secure way. Uploading large files as a standard email attachment can be time-consuming and result in transmission failures if the files are too large.
Note:Please follow all instructions in the task pane and ensure you do not click away or send your email before all LFT files have been successfully uploaded. When required, Large File Transfer (LFT) can be enabled in two ways:
-
Directly uploading attachments into the LFT box in the task pane.
-
Attaching files as normal to the email you are composing and then enabling LFT in the task pane. When enabled, the attachments will be automatically transferred to LFT.

Why has my LFT upload failed?
Sometimes, upload failures can occur due to connection issues. Try uploading again, but if the problem persists, please contact Egress Support.
Why have my existing email attachments been transferred to LFT?
When you enable LFT, attachments added to emails as normal will be automatically transferred to LFT. You cannot have LFT uploads and normal attachments in one email.
When should I use LFT?
Use LFT when you need to securely and efficiently send large files that cannot be effectively sent using standard email attachment methods.
Why does my LFT upload fail when I click away from the email?
You must ensure you do not click away from the email or task pane until an upload is complete. Otherwise, the upload will fail.
