The Health Check feature allows admins to verify that Defend is properly configured and functioning as expected. It runs a series of tests on both inbound and outbound email processing.
Tests Performed
The health check runs the following tests:
- Inbound Email Tests
- Confirmation of test email receipt
- Verification of Defend banner presence
- Check for the absence of multiple disclaimers
- Check for the absence of multiple subject phrases
- Verification of email authentication
- Outbound Email Tests
- Confirmation of email forwarding
- Verification of banner removal
- Check for the absence of duplicate disclaimers
- Check for the absence of duplicate subject phrases
How to Run a Health Check
To run a health check, follow the steps below:
- Log in to the Defend admin console.
- Navigate to Settings > Health Check.
- Select Run Health Check.
- Enter an internal test user email address.
- Select Add Recipient and enter the email addresses of the test email recipients.
- Select Run Health Check.
Monitoring Progress
To check the status of a health check, follow the steps below:
- Select the health check line item.
- Select Refresh to see updated progress.
Results
If all tests pass successfully, no further action is required. Any failed tests will be highlighted and may need admin attention.
