In this guide, you’ll learn how to integrate Google Chat with SecurityCoach. You can use Google Chat to send real-time coaching notifications to your users when risky activity is detected on their devices.

Setting Up the Integration

To set up the integration, follow the steps below:

1. Log in to your KSAT console.
2. Navigate to SecurityCoach > Setup.
3. From the menu on the left side of the page, select Delivery Setup.
4. Click Google Chat.
5. Click Install from Google Workspace Marketplace.
   Important:If you’re using a Chrome browser, you must be logged in to your admin account to install the app.
   
6. You’ll be redirected to the Google Workspace Marketplace page. Click Admin Install.
7. Accept the permissions for the installation.
8. In your Google Workspace Admin console, select the users you want to enable the integration for. You can select specific groups or all users. You can add new groups or users at any time from your Google Workspace Admin console.

After you’ve successfully integrated Google Chat, you’ll see a confirmation message on the Google Chat setup page so you can verify that all your groups or users have been added successfully. 

To test this integration, click Send Test Message and enter the email address of the user you would like to send the test to. 

Deleting the Integration

If needed, you can delete your Google Chat integration from SecurityCoach. To delete this integration, you’ll need to delete it in the SecurityCoach tab and from your Google Workspace admin console.

To delete your Google Chat integration from SecurityCoach, follow the steps below.

1. Log in to your KSAT console.
2. Navigate to SecurityCoach > Setup.
3. From the menu on the left side of the page, select Delivery Setup.
4. Click Google Chat.
5. Click Delete Integration. In the pop-up window that displays, click Confirm to delete this integration.

To delete the Google Chat integration in your Google Workspace admin console, follow the steps below.

1. Log in to your Google Workspace Admin console.
2. Navigate to Google Workspace Marketplace apps > Apps list.
3. In the Domain Installed Apps field, select the KnowBe4 Security Coach app.
4. Click Uninstall App.
5. Click Uninstall to confirm you want to remove the app.
