A User's Guide to Second Chance
Phishing, ransomware, and other cyber attacks are on the rise. As part of your Security Awareness Training program, your organization may have recently installed a tool called "Second Chance" in your email.

This tool will prompt you to think twice before following links in your work email. After you click a link, a message will appear displaying the link you're about to navigate to and will require that you confirm or abort your action.
After you're prompted, you should analyze the link and email carefully for any red flags and, when you're ready, decide whether you should proceed or take your "second chance" to abort your action.
Second Chance will also prompt you if you preview or download attachments from your email and then attempt to click links within these attachments.
Note that Second Chance may not prompt you on all links you click--certain links may be designated by your organization as "safe" and will not trigger a prompt message to appear.
Second Chance will help you to keep your organization safe and defend against cyber attacks. Remember to analyze all the email you receive for red flags and always think before you click.
Contact your IT team or supervisor if you have any questions regarding Second Chance.
