Smart Groups - AND/OR Criteria

I've setup a three tier phishing campaign for our users with Smart Groups:
-Users in the SG-Beginner Phishing group get weekly phish tests of 1-2 star difficulty. Criteria is: User must, have clicked, more than, 0 time, in the last 4 weeks
-Users in the SG-Intermediate Phishing group get bi-weekly phish tests of 3-4 star difficulty. Criteria is: User must not, have clicked, more than, 0 time, in the last 4 weeks. User must, have clicked, more than, 0 time, in the last 12 weeks
-Users in the SG-Advanced Phishing group get monthly phish tests of 5 stars. Criteria is: User must, have clicked, more than, 0 time, in the last 12 weeks
Our phishing campaigns just kicked off and the advanced group is extremely effective and has already gotten a number of clickers. The only issue I've encountered now is that the categories I've selected have test emails which contain attachments for users to open, which is a different Phish Event filter which keeps them in the SG-Advanced Phishing group even though they technically failed.
I'm trying to think of some ways to work around this possibility, but I believe the (hopefully) easiest route would be to allow for designating the criteria to be matched in an AND/OR scenario, and allow for instance the beginner phishing group to have criteria of:
User must, have clicked, more than, 0 time, in the last 4 weeks
OR
User must, have opened attachment, more than, 0 time, in the last 4 weeks
This would then for instance allow me to create a good catch all of failure incidents for the beginner group. So far the only workarounds I have thought of are:
-Making the Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced SGs a criteria of their Phish Prone %.
-Creating simultaneous Smart Groups and Phishing campaigns related to clicks vs opening attachments.
-Making sure the phishing campaigns are only sending phish emails requiring clicks, although if possible I'd like to avoid that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm hoping this doesn't already exist and have tried to double check before making this post, so hopefully I'm just not missing some very obvious answer.

Thank you for providing this insight. This feature does not currently exist, but it is something we are looking into for the next release of Smart Groups. I have submitted your feedback to our Development team to review. In the meantime, you have come up with some great alternatives, thank you for sharing!

Thank you for your input on this! We currently do not have a release date for this feature. However, I have submitted an additional request for this feature to our development team for their review. We base a lot of our new releases and features on customer ideas and requests, so we do appreciate your feedback!

Thanks, Natalie... You might want to tell you programmers to also add in the ability to group the criteria between the operators. For example if you have A and B or C, does that mean (A and B) or C, or A and (B or C)? Hence, some sort of associative grouping will also need to be included in this revision. Right now, this is not needed since A and B and C gives the same logical results as (A and B) and C as well as A and (B and C). But when you start mixing conjunctive (and) and disjunctive (or) operators, you'll need the grouping. I ran into this problem with other applications, so I'm giving a "heads up" :-) Thanks!

I should have mentioned in my previous response that, although we do not have an OR option, you can achieve your original goal with your tiered phishing Smart Groups by using our “any failures” option that is now available.
If possible, could you describe a case where you needed an OR operator? We may be able to provide a work around!

In this case, I did come up with a workaround process using two SGs in the campaign, thanks to a suggestion one of your support staff (Gus).
However, here's the Beginner Phishing SG I was attempting to create:
User must have had any failures more than 0 time in the last 4 weeks <-- this handles existing employees with failures
OR
The user must have been created in the last 4 weeks <-- this adds new employees

Currently, we do not support OR statements in smart groups. If you need set of criteria that can assist in pulling the criteria that you need I'd be glad to open a support ticket on your behalf to see if we can assist with that setup.

Okay, it is coming up on our first year with KB4 platform, and I have yet to see any real significant improvements about feature requests like this one going back to 2018. "or" is a really basic component of logic and quite frankly the work around for creating a group based on real failures doesn't work as expected if you have out of office replies that show up as failures.
Can you tell me if the request to incorporate "OR" into the logic of Smart groups has been requested? if so, where does it sit on the list of enhancements?
Is there a date of the next product update?

I can let you know that the feature has been requested, I can't speak to if we are going to be implementing it or where it sits on the list of enhancements. Those decisions rest with the product and development team. We don't guarantee any feature requests will go into production, or provide a timeline for those requested items.
We are always pushing out product updates so I suggest bookmarking the Knowbe4 change log to keep up with any product updates that might occur.
