Phish Report Button also submits it as Google Phishing Email

The Feature Request:

Make the KnowBe4 Phish Report button also mark the email as phishing for the Google Workspace account

 

The Issue / Rationale:

PhishER & Google Workspace both in part rely on people reporting phishing emails

Google Workspace will stop the email from getting delivered in the first place, but we cant easily pull the email manually 

KnowBe4 lets us pull the email manually, but it won't stop future emails of the exact same type to be delivered. 

Google Workspace and PhishER have the potential to compliment each other, but we have to choose one or the other....so we lose the ability to benefit from both solutions.

  Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us regarding phishER and compatibility with Google. I submitted this as a Feature Request to our PhishER Dev team for review. We really appreciate the customer feedback that is given to us since it drives us to evolve our platforms over time based on customer wants and/or needs.

  FWIW, I second this request in some fashion.  I don't like taking the message reporting mechanism out-of-band from the email provider's workflow.  It may be wishful thinking to believe that our reports of message status has weight with the providers filtering algorithms at a meaningful level. However, I think it's just better to keep the message hygiene processing and reports with the email provider.  This creates a tough problem when trying to measure user reporting activities for phishing exercises.  I haven't been able to think of a good solution to this...

  We also need this feature in the Phish Report button.  We leverage Google Workspace's Security Hub, and KnowBe4 provides complimentary features to it, so we can't remove phishing reports from Google's world entirely.  Not having a way to route legitimate phishing attempts back to Google is blocking our ability to roll out the Phish Report button.
