Phish Alert button for shared mailboxes
回答済みWould be great if the PAB add-in manifest file for Office 365 could be updated to include support for shared mailboxes. Currently our users can't report suspicious emails to us if the message arrives in a shared mailbox. This is possible using a new element in the manifest XML.

Hi,
we are in our onboarding prpcess right now and we also have the problem, that shared mailboxs can't use the phish alert button in shared mailboxes. but this is a must-have, because the main e-mail traffic with external partners runs through this "functional mailboxes" (sales, support, and so on).
It would be great, if this feature is available soon!

Although not perfect, I have found a work around (below) that has helped our users report suspicious emails from O365 shared mailboxes.
While viewing your email in Outlook Client:
- Select the email you want to forward
- Go to the Home Tab
- In the "Respond" Group, Select More > Select Forward as Attachment
- In the To field, enter PhishER (Make sure to create a contact is in the Global Address Book with the address for your PhishER instance)
- Leave the subject field and email content blank
- Select Send
- When prompted regarding Missing subject, click Send Anyway
While viewing your email in Web Client:
- Select New Message
- In the "To" field, enter PhishER (Make sure to create a contact is in the Global Address Book with the address for your PhishER instance)
- Leave the subject field blank
- Select and drag the message you want to attach from the message list into your new message
- Select Send
- When prompted regarding Missing subject, click Send

Hi Debbie,
That will definitely work if the goal is to report the email to PhishER since the PAB essentially forwards the email as an attachment in this way as well. Of course, you would miss out on the PAB checking for our simulated emails, but this is definitely a workaround that allows users to still report emails on shared mailboxes.
Thank you for your contribution!

Could you please add me to the feature request for Phish Alert Button being added to MS Office 365 shared mailboxes? The shared mailboxes with common email address like info@, ap@, and hr@, are even more likely to get phishing emails than individual users. And users usually catch on that these mailboxes don't get phishing simulation emails.

+1 for me as well. This is a dealbreaker. It looks like Microsoft supports this now (for Exchange Online only).
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office/dev/add-ins/reference/manifest/supportssharedfolders
<SupportsSharedFolders>true</SupportsSharedFolders>
I'm going to test manually modifying the XML file with this myself and see if it breaks or if it retains functionality across shared mailboxes.

Hi Nancy,
I have added you as a +1 on this feature request. Please note you can follow this thread as well as track any changes via the PAB release notes.
We appreciate your feedback, thank you!
