Ability to edit employee start date field on AD sync users
回答済みWhen users are imported with AD sync, their KB4 account's employee start date is filled in with the date the user account was created in AD, I believe. That's fine, except it can't be modified since it's tied to an AD attribute.
This means the start date becomes something we cannot use in smart groups to assign things like their required initial training session. Currently, because user accounts are often created a week or two prior to the employee actually starting, which means they often appear as if they are past due and notifications may get sent to their manager.
If we could edit that field after the initial sync (as in, sync it the first time, then never again so we can edit it), it would allow us to defer training for an employee that hasn't actually started yet.

Thank you for your suggestion. I think I might have something that will work for your situation. If you have any field in AD that represents the correct date, or could represent the correct date, then you can customize your ADI tool to pull from that field instead.
The field in your files would be "employee-start-date" and you'd have to change it to whichever field you'd like it to pull from.

Brent, I have the exact same issue and wish I could edit this "employee-start-date" field when I am first setting up the user. We often set up new users a week or more before they start and they start getting past due notifications sometimes before they are even working yet. I've set their accounts to "Out of Office" and their actual start date in the mean time to stop the notices but wish we could edit their actual start dates in KnowBe4 as well. We don't have an attribute in their AD account that shows their actual start date either.
