Custom categories for user groups

The number of groups (especially smart ones) grows very rapidly and it becomes difficult to search for groups in multiple pages. Creating custom categories in the Groups section, similar to Email templates or notification templates could be a good solution. Example: I would like to define a group/category called "Country-specific groups" and add all separate country groups to the same.
