    Hi All!

I want to let everyone know that the console now offers the ability to manually sort training content within campaigns.

When creating campaigns, you can drag and drop training assignments in the order you'd like them to display for users when they log in to take their training. See here for more information on this capability.

    Thanks!

    Hi Joshua,

Thanks for your post. You can accomplish this with our training campaign set up by setting up separate campaigns and separate groups for each training.

This information comes from our Training documentation:

You can get creative with our Add/Remove Completed Users option to make Training Campaigns work for you.
Another great way to use this option is to assign training to users on a staggered (or ordered) basis. For example, you could set up four campaigns, one to start at the beginning of each quarter, with the Q1 campaign targeting All Users, and the subsequent three campaigns targeting a Q2 group, Q3 group, and Q4 group. Your Q1 campaign could Add Completed Users to the Q2 group, your Q2 campaign could Add Completed Users to the Q3 group, and so on. This way users will only be enrolled in the additional courses if they have completed the previous campaign's courses, like a prerequisite.
    ---------

In your situation, you would probably want to name your Groups Training A, Training B, Training C, and so on, depending on the number of courses you want new users to take.

The first training campaign should target your new users (You could put them in a group for new users, such as Training Group A) and assign the first training module to them. In the settings towards the bottom, choose the following to happen upon completion of the course: to remove them from Training Group A and add them to a new group, Training Group B, for example.

The next training campaign should target Training Group B, and assign the next course you want your users to take. In the settings towards the bottom, choose the following to happen upon completion of the course: to remove them from Training Group B and add them to the next training group, Training Group C.

The above cycle should be completed until your new users have taken all the training modules you want them to take.

I hope this information helps. If you would like more information or someone to walk you through the above process, let me know and I will submit a support ticket for you. We're happy to help.

    Thanks!

    Hi Katie-

Wouldn't it just be easier to allow me to drag-and-drop the training modules in the order I want the users to take them within that campaign? The way you're describing is kind of a kludge.

    Thanks!

    Josh,

That definitely would be easier. The above solution is sort of a creative way to use what we have in place already for what you'd like to do. I will submit a feature request for you to our development team so they can review it and potentially implement something like this in the future.

    Thanks,

    Katie

Building on this suggestion, and it looks like the workaround Katie mentioned could also help with this, it would be good to categorise training modules.

Have modules at the top of the screen, listed as essential. Then other modules below that users can do for further development, or just games, etc

Great idea Paul. I will submit this idea to our development team as well.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

I am also interested in an easier, more efficient way to force modules to be completed in a specific order (e.g. the order they are placed in the campaign.  It would also be great if it could be configured so module #2 (or 3 or 4...) automatically starts after the user completes the module 1.

Just wondering if there are any plans to incorporate these requests into future versions and what the timeline is.

    Thanks

    Hi Loretta,

Thank you for your input and interest in forcing module completions in a certain order.

As you can see in my comment above, you do have the ability to choose the order in which the content will display for users enrolled in the campaign.

Regarding forcing users to complete modules in a specific order, the way you would implement this is by separating the modules into different campaigns.
To structure the order of the campaigns you have two options:

    1. Specify the campaigns' start and end dates to precede/supersede the start and end dates of the previous/next campaign.
    2. Use Smart Groups (Platinum and Diamond subscription levels) to include/exclude users based on whether they've completed the first training assignment, but have not been enrolled in the subsequent training assignment.
Then, create and assign the ordered training campaigns to the appropriate Smart Groups.

I hope this helps! If you have further questions feel free to respond. Or, if you would like further assistance in setting up this training campaign flow, feel free to start a support ticket and our team would be happy to help.

    Thanks again!
