Task approval: add buttons or change current color strategy
MegválaszoltIn the Task Status section the Change Task Status: field is displayed in gray, giving the appearance that it is not an activated field. Our experience has shown that how the approver makes the approval is not obvious enough. I would like to see it displayed in a color scheme that would draw an approver's attention to it. We recently had a task that called for two levels of approvals. The approvers were not familiar with the KCM layout and found the approval experience was not intuitive.
Even better than the above suggestion would be to insert buttons that change the status (the status indicator would only ever be read-only). The buttons should be APPROVE and INSUFFICIENT. The INSUFFICIENT button would trigger a required free-form text box to be displayed that calls for an explanation of why the task was not approved. This update to KCM would be slick!

Hi Peter,
Thanks for taking the time to submit your feedback to the community board for KCM GRC! I've submitted two feature requests: one to change the “grayed out” appearance of the “Change Task Status” field, and the other to change the “Change Task Status” dropdown into two buttons: “APPROVE” and “INSUFFICIENT”! I can see how having the “INSUFFICIENT” button automatically trigger a free-form text box would improve your approver’s KCM GRC experience.
While feature requests aren't guaranteed changes, they are tracked for user interest and considered when our development team is making updates to KCM GRC.
Thanks again for reaching out!
Warm Regards,
