Sending phishing messages with the "From" placeholder [[manager_email]]
MegválaszoltI would like to setup training notifications, and phishing messages to come from the user's assigned manager.
You already have this (broken) functionality built in! This can be accomplished using the [[manager_email]] placeholder.
However, whenever using the [[manager_email]] option in the "From" line of a phishing template, or a training notification the system does not accept this as a valid email address - since it is missing the "@domain.com". Your developers have implemented a form fill validation that requires "@aDomainNameHere.com" to exist in this field - otherwise it will not allow the page to save.
See below:
If I try to add the @domain the [[manager_email]], then the domain populates twice as it actually pulls the managers full email address.
See below:
Here is the preview of the phishing message. Now broken!
It would be easy to fix this issue if your developers modify the form fill validation to require a @aDomainNameHere.com ONLY if [[manager_email]] is NOT filled in.
This would be a 5 minute fix for your developers.
Someone has also requested this same thing HERE in 2019.
And I have opened a ticket on this same issue over a year ago and this is still not fixed.
