Task Integration API

It would be great to add a postback URL under tasks. We would enter a URL of my choosing and your system would post information to the URL each time an email is sent to an assignee.  The posted information would contain:

Assignee name

Assignee email

Assignee phone number

Task due date

Control name

Task name

Task URL

 

This would allow for us to send an SMS to the assignee for example or perform any related we'd like. This could also trigger other actions on our side such as triggering a process that produces the necessary evidence. Say we need an external vulnerability scan to be performed - this could be used to trigger the scan itself.

  Thank you for all of these ideas regarding API integration with KCM GRC!

  The ability to send an SMS to your assignees would certainly motivate them to complete their Tasks in a timely manner! 

  I've passed all of this information along to our KCM GRC Product Development team for review. We do take customer input into consideration when planning enhancements to our platform; therefore your feedback is appreciated.

  I would also like to see an API for the GRC tool for reporting purposes.  This would allow us to pull task info into our ITSM tool so we have a single pane of glass for things coming up.  I'd like to be able to request upcoming tasks (in the next 14, 30, 60 days) and pull the details of the task.

  Hi Phillip,

  That is a great idea. Like our training platform, I'm sure an API will eventually be built to pull Task information (and other information) from the console for reporting purposes. A postback API is also a something that may be seen in the future. We're definitely committed to making KCM GRC as streamlined as possible, and I can see how the ability to request data via an API would increase the ease of reporting.
