Maybe it would be worth to add in account settings, here support tool, whether I would like to be notified about changes in articles that I am following? That might be useful to track changes.

  Thank you for your feedback! We have submitted a request for this feature to our Knowledgebase/Help Desk host because we also think this would be a great idea.
