Language Translation for DEI
In the spirit of Inclusion for DEI Training, it would be great if the DEI courses available in the Compliancy Plus Library were all available in the top tier languages. We are currently looking to provide French-Canadian and Spanish. Of the 11 elearning courses, only two of the courses are available in these languages.
In addition, in May, 2022, Quebec passed a regulation that requires all training be available in their new official language (French), effective June 1, 2022. Will this legal requirement escalate the priority for French Canadian in DEI training as well as all other courses?
See:
On May 24, 2022, the National Assembly of Québec adopted Bill 96, an Act respecting French, the official and common language of Québec ("Bill 96"), amending language laws in the province previously set out in the Charter of the French Language.
Language in the Workplace (Changes effective June 1, 2022)
Effective June 1, 2022, Bill 96 requires that French become the main language for all employment matters in the workplace. This includes all policies, training documents, termination letters and documents related to the hiring processes (i.e. job application forms and postings).
Thank you!
