As every company, we have turnover. Employees leaving the company get “archived” in KnowBe4.
I realized the archived employees were not accounted on the training reports making these reports completely inaccurate.
For instance, in December 2019, 100 people completed your awareness training. Since December 15 people left. You look at the training report today to see only 85 people completed your December training and this is simply wrong.
I created a ticket with KnowBe4 to be told this is a normal behavior. The workaround is to go to the report module and pull report that can include archive users. However, the report module issues report per content, not per campaign. In addition, you have to issue 2 separate report per content, one for users who completed the training, one for user who did not complete the training. This is very cumbersome.
To make matters worse, I sometimes create campaigns whit several contents. In this case, the process to get accurate metrics is getting close to impossible.
An easy way will be to send a report by email right after training is closed, as it is done on the phishing campaign. However, I haven’t got much success with KnowBe4 in that request neither.
On a small company, the difference is not major. However, on company with more than a thousand employees, the accuracy of your metrics can really be impacted.
KnowBe4 community, how would you rate the importance of a new feature ( or bug fix) to get accurate training metrics ?
