AD Synchronization with LDAP Filter and without a group LDAP filter

We’re looking to use the LDAP filter without having to use a group LDAP filter.  Can this be done ?

 

(&(objectCategory=person)(objectClass=user)(!userAccountControl:1.2.840.113556.1.4.803:=2)(mail=*)(givenName=*)(sn=*)(!cn=*test*))

  Were you able to modify your group filter?  I noticed this post was marked as answered, so I was hoping to find the resolution within the thread.
