I would also like to hear what people think of this topic.  I'm am in a similar boat in addition to determining how to instruct them to differentiate between spam and phishing.  Sounds easy until you try to write it down.

I have same dilemma.  I ask my users to report ALL unwanted email with PAB. I try to analyze each email and give instructions as needed.  Most are real spam that I forward to our spam filter provider. Some are valid emails and I send instructions to unsubscribe or Block Sender.

Still, asking them to use only one method, I still have users who added knowbe4 to their blocked senders list in Outlook. I send emails to everyone reminding them what to do, how to do, screenshots and all.  It's unfortunately time-consuming.

My current goal is to enroll non-PAB users in regular training campaigns. Don't want to send phish alerts to IT? You blocked KnowBe4 emails?  Fine. We have a special training class just for you.
