Reporting Needs An UpgradeCompleted
OK, it seems this topic has been mentioned multiple times in the community (see references below) with ideas in all different aspects. While I love the KnowBe4 platform and all of the training and features that continue to get added rapidly, the reporting functions seem to take a back seat.
Numerous times I've wanted to get some data about a user or campaign to deliver to upper management and have found the task very cumbersome trying to pull it all together from multiple areas in KB4.
Here is a list of posts (9) that are related to enhancing reporting. Most of them have a standard response of "We've passed on to development" and no other updates.
I wanted to let you that at the end of last year we released a feature called Advanced Reporting which includes actionable metrics and over 60 different styles of reports. Thank you for your feedback. I'm pleased to announce that KnowBe4 will be releasing a new, intuitive reporting feature soon! Currently, we have this feature in its final stages of development. We will make sure to update the community board once this reporting tool is made available.
I still find the reporting to be lacking. We're a bank and have a lot of reporting requirements when audits come around. I just had to figure out how to pull together all our training and phishing data for each employee over the past year. There was no report that met my needs. I ended up having to export the CSV data out of every training and phishing campaign to get the information I needed. Talk about time consuming for such a simple request.
I also find the reporting to be entirely and misses the mark for actionable information. Take the advanced reporting group counts as an example. If i plot a smart group count versus time, the report doesn't show actual history of membership. I've resorted to manually tracking the count history of key groups but i shouldn't have to do that.
I'd like the flexibility to construct my own reporting criteria on the data available. e.g. I'd like to be able to show training status against 'Organisation' and not just location (if of course I spend the time downloading and running pivot tables etc....)
The API set just isn't flexible enough.
Why not open it up for access from a BI tool?
I can see why that would be nice. Currently, there isn't an efficient way to do that so I have gone ahead and added this as a feature request for you so our development team can look into it as a possible product enhancement. Thank you for contributing to our community board.
I would like to add my support to this as well. We really need the ability to create our own custom reports based on need. For example, we'd like to target users that "speed" through training modules with advanced tests. I can't see the amount of time spent by user. We'd also like to make correlations between training and PPP and phishing test results by user and department.
