We like to keep our courses as up to date as possible whenever you upload a new version of a course. However, the problem is that in order to update the content in our training campaigns, we have to cancel the existing campaign and start a new one. If the new courses had the same name, then the users would be automatically be launched into the latest version of a course.
The different course names also poses an issue with our smart groups. We have a "New User" smart groups for users who haven't completed any courses. Then we have a "Non-clicker" group for users who have completed their new user courses and haven't clicked on any phishing emails yet. Unfortunately, the smart groups criteria is only based on the name of the completed course and not the name of the completed campaign. So then I have to create two "non-clicker" groups- one for the old course content and one for the new course content. This just seems unnecessary as it would be nice if the updated content replaces the old content automatically. For example, if we have 2017 45min Kevin Mitnick course and the 2017 strong passwords course and the new 2018 courses are released, it would be nice if they just replaced the 2017 courses and were just named "45 min Kevin Mitnick training" and "strong passwords- 5 minutes". This is the case for some of our other training platforms and is nice because it does not require us to manually update the training every time an updated version of the training is released. Automation is our best friend!
