What’s New Under the Users Tab?
In the month of August, we are making updates to the Users tab of your KnowBe4 console. These changes include an updated interface, improved user profiles, and streamlined Smart Group settings for better usability across multiple languages.
The Users tab is organized into six subtabs. Use the links below to learn more about what’s new under each subtab. Alternatively, you can watch our What’s New Under the Users Tab? video.

Users
The Users subtab lists all of your users and now has an updated look and feel. The options in the header are more streamlined, but you still have the ability to search by email or name, download the user list as a CSV, and show or hide columns in the table.
You now have the added ability to filter by status, type (users or admins), and filter by one or more groups.
Click the checkboxes to the left of the User’s name or email to see additional options at the top of the screen. This gives you the option to archive the selected users or add them to groups. A similar menu bar appears when viewing archived users that allows you to restore the selected users or permanently deleted them.
User Profiles
To view a user’s profile, click on their email address or name. Originally, this was a single page with an abundance of information, so we have organized it into subtabs for better usability.
Click on the groups count under the user’s name, to view a list of all the groups this user is a member of.
User Dashboard
The first subtab is the User Dashboard. Here you can see a quick overview of the user’s security awareness training progress, phishing results, and risk score. (Click to view).
Use the tabs below for a closer look at each section of the User Dashboard.
The Phishing Results section displays the user's Phish-prone Percentage along with how many phishing tests they've received, failed, and reported.
Click on Phish Failures by Type to view a graph of the specific Phishing Test failures this user has had by type.
Training Assignments displays the user's completion percentage along with how many assignments have been completed, are in progress, and have yet to start.
Click on View Training Details to view a graph of the Training Campaigns this user is enrolled in, by status.
Much like the original User Profile, the Risk section displays a user’s Risk Score, their risk factors, and a line chart of their risk history.
Phishing
The user’s Phishing subtab shows the same data as the original User Profile, but now includes a Delivered column that confirms the email was delivered. You can also see the date and time the email was delivered when you hover over the checkmark.
Training
The user’s Training subtab includes a redesigned list of the user’s training history. Here you can download a completion certificate using the trophy icon , see if the user has started their training, go to the corresponding campaign details page by clicking on the training campaign name.
User Timeline
The User Timeline shows the same information and filter options as the Event section of the original User Profile.
User Information
The User Information tab is a redesigned version of the Edit User screen. (Click to view).
The PhishER and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) are now enabled by clicking their respective buttons. Enabling MFA will open a pop-up with the details needed to add this user’s login to your application of choice.
Groups
The Groups tab has been improved. You can still search by group name, download the group list, and archive active groups from the header. When viewing Archived groups, you’ll see the options to restore or delete groups.
Filter Groups
It’s now easier to filter your groups by status or type. The types of groups are Console (groups created within the console), Smart (Smart Groups), and ADI Managed (groups managed through Active Directory Integration).
Actions
The options under the Actions column have changed. From here, you can choose to remove all of the users from a group or archive all of the users within a group.
New Group Option
When creating a new group, you now have the option to select a security role to assign to this group.
Smart Groups
For Smart Groups, we have redesigned how you set criteria for better usability across all languages. The same options are still available, but now, you’ll make your selections in a pop-up window.
Import Users
The Import Users tab has had some minor updates, but maintains the same functionality. There is now a validation checkbox for the Enable Password and Group options.
Active Directory
The Active Directory tab shows the same data as the original user profile with some minor text changes.
The Sync Details page now allows you to filter information by sync status and displays the date and time of the sync. Click the Details button to view this screen.
Merge Users
The Merge Users tab maintains the same functionality, but includes some text changes, such as new tooltips and hover text.
