How to Change the Default Date and Time Format for Specific Users
You may have specific users that were imported before selecting a default date and time format or users in locations that need a different date and time format than the default setting. You can change the default date and time format for these users by importing a CSV file.
To change the date and time format by importing a CSV file, follow the steps below:
- Prepare a CSV file that contains the email addresses for any users that you would like to change the default date and time format for.
Tip: If you haven’t prepared a CSV file, you can export a CSV file from the Users tab of your KnowBe4 account.
-
- You will need only two header fields in the CSV file. These headers are Email and Date Format.
- Under the Date Format header, you must enter the number that indicates the date and time format that you’d like to use. You can either enter 1 or 2. For more information about each of these options, see the list below:
- If you enter 1, the default date and time format will be set to MM/DD/YYYY hh:mm AM/PM (12-hour).
- If you enter 2, the default date and time format will be set to DD/MM/YYYY HH:mm (24-hour)
Note: To change the date and time format, your CSV file must contain the headers listed above as well as a setting of either 1 or 2 beneath the Date Format header. If you leave the field beneath the Date Format header blank, the date and time format will not be updated.
- After preparing your CSV file, log in to your KnowBe4 account in a separate window.
- Navigate to Users > Import Users.
- Click CSV Import.
- Click Browse to find and select your prepared CSV file.
- Click Import Users.
After you import the CSV file, the date and time format settings will be updated for the users included in your CSV file. For more information about importing CSV files, see our How to Import Users With a CSV file article.
