Phish Link Domains and Landing Domains
Phish Link Domains and Landing Domains are both used as part of phishing campaigns, but they serve different purposes. Below is a description of each.
Phish Link Domains: Before the click
Selectable on the Phishing Campaign creation screen, Phish Link Domains are what users will see when they hover their mouse over a link in a simulated phishing email, before clicking the link. These domains are displayed in the URL of the phishing link.
Phish Link Domains act as the initial landing site when a user clicks a phishing link, but will immediately redirect the user to the actual landing page (where the Landing Domain is used).
Landing Domains: After the click
Selectable on individual email templates, Landing Domains are what the user will see in their address bar after clicking a phishing link from within a simulated phishing email.
Note:
Both Phish Link Domains and Landing Domains are domains owned by KnowBe4 and are only used for the purposes of simulated phishing tests.
